No mince pies in the manger!

I realised yesterday that my mood was not good and got on with getting ready for my stay in the hotel...but first I have to deliver some bottles of wine to a couple of old friends. The roads are still quiet outside so a trip to the next village is possible. I have checked and Cornwall is still considered safe...I think. Once I have managed to drive to the next village I can settle down to thinking about what I will need in a hotel. This is very different from anything Ive experienced before..but inside, in my home my tree is up, the lights made everything festive last night and really I must just get on with it. For me and for very many other people this Christmas is going to be very different. But it is OK. ....celebrating the birth of Christ is still what its all about after all.... no mince pies in the manger...So on we go...all of us...we can do this!

Good morning Jean, I hope you enjoy your trip out and the preparations for you hotel stay are completed - complete with party clothes.
This will indeed be a very different Christmas, but then the first Christmas was full of the unexpected...
Take care

Good to hear that your preparations are underway. Visiting people with gifts is a normal occupation, probably socially distanced with masks, but hopefully being able to chat and exchange Christmas Greetings.

Here in Tier 4, that is impossible. I need to do some last minute shopping today, and an early trip to the supermarket to avoid lines is needed. They open at 7 am, and I will be there waiting.
