Normal?

So this run of bad things happening continues. I got up this morning to find my boiler room flooded. This has happened once before after a day of very hard rain. Water is driven under the door if the wind is in the wrong place. Ive mopped most of it up. In the greater scheme of things its quite minor....just annoying! So now back in my office with the heater on I have pulled a duvet over my legs and am drinking hot coffee....so its not all bad news. Getting through the weekend without anything else going wrong is now all I can wish for. And I do...but just now it seems anything can happen...so I am simply waiting....in the hope that nothing else does happen and if it does that I can cope with it! I did sleep well. Thats something to be grateful for. I do have things to do but somehow surviving the weekend with no heating has become the main ingredient. I tell myself sternly that I can do this..I will do this...and without resorting to drinking...alcohol doesnt help ....much...Well maybe this evening I might have a glass of something warming....whilst I see whats on the box. As my sitting room is upstairs in this strange house at least normal life is possible..just about!
