Shopping!

I decided it was more important to get out and shop this morning than blog...so off I went. St Mawes was not busy...and I got everything I needed quickly. But it felt odd. I really dont know why...part of it was because I am booked into the local hotel for Christmas so there wasnt much shopping to actually do. This is a novelty I could grow to love. There were not too many people about and the normally crowded car park was empty! I got home much faster than I usually do and hoped that I had remembered everything because I have finished now. I am out of pratice at all this since I started going off cruising after my husband died. To return to going out shopping for essential supplies was almost a novelty. But I didnt hang around...I came home, unpacked the bags and wondered what to do next! This has never happened before! Since then Ive had an email from the hotel detailing all the essential anti virus moves they are making when we start assembling..They are very thorough..nothing seems for gotten..and any thought of conversation has now gone completely unless we shout at each other over acres of space. Well its all going to be very different in ways I would never have guessed! I might be taking to the high seas again next year...if I survive that long!

You are daring going out. I am glad that you found it easy to do and good preparation for your hotel stay over Christmas.

It is good to hear that they are taking precautions to keep everyone safe and hopefully, you will be able to communicate at a distance with fellow guests. Nota substitute for a cruise, but a break, somewhere different, with no cooking needed.

I hope you are able to blog during your stay, but a silence for a few days is excusable if their wifi is not up to spec. I wish you well.

You must expect similar restrictions on a boat. Bigger spaces so less people
Don’t go and expect it all to be the same as it was
