Glory!
I didnt want to get up this morning. I stayed in bed lying down ... listening to the radio when some lines caught my attention. Somone was reciting a favourite poem of mine by Gerard Manley Hopkins. I sat up listening intently...and at the last verse I joined in ...
I was able to recite The Glory of God to the last line .... "And ah bright wings" Bright wings...those words have never meant more to me than they did this morning. In this gloom, this lack of joy ... those words brught me real glory. Sudden, unexpected joy got me moving...joy brought on by hearing a favourite poem on the radio. Now I am dressed with a coffee by my side I find myself slightly amused but also grateful. Thank you who ever decided to recite poetry on a Sunday morning when everything else was dark and gloomy, it worked for me. Alleluia! So now I am up and moving I can refect in the dark place of now that the light is still there for us all...thank you God.

Good morning Jean. How wonderful that poetry awakened such positive emotions for you.
I hope the rest of the day continues in a similar vein.
Online church and a walk are lined up for me 😊
Thanks care
Lovely to read this. I must now look up that poem.
