Life!
Today I have a food delivery booked..... its just as well. I have an empty fridge now. The house is warm...thank goodness but really this life is not good any more. Its just a question of staying alive but no one would be aware if I did fall by the wayside...but dont worry if a day arrives without a blog post...its not the end...hopefully....
While I can I will keep this up...but if I fail please dont assume the worst.Today I will try to start my car. I am not going anywhere but I need to know that I could if I needed to. Isnt this weird? I am touched by your concerns on my behalf. I will try not to sound so miserable but this blog has always reflected my life...good or bad...Thank goodness for the radio and the television. I have never spent so much time viewing or listening. But at least I am aware of what else is going on in the world. Settling down to watch a soap opera on the TV with a glass of something warming is the best part of the day. I am being very careful not to drink too much..but sadly a drop of alcohol really does help! I am very careful indeed not to drink too much..I dont want to become too dependent on it at my age!
Its a sad life right now...but at least it is life!

Good morning Jean.
Hope your fridge is soon full and you can tick imminent hunger off any list of concerns. 😊
This is a truly miserable time -I’m never fond of February but there is the hope that March and Spring will follow on in due course! It always does 😊
Then there’s this enforced lockdown and restrictions on our movements for the good of all. And again there’s a glimmer of light at the end of this dark tunnel. I do hope your friend can get you to your vaccination appointment and if not then please contact your GP. Arrangements are being put in place everywhere for everyone to have the vaccine - and that includes you!!
Enjoy the TV. It’s become a lifeline for so many of us.
Take care x
The good thing is that you actually have a TV & Radio and access to the internet, a warm house and while your fridge is depleted, possibly your freezer is bursting with stuff?
Starting your car is also a good idea, it gets you outside even if for a few minutes, and perhaps a little social contact with some of your neighbours.
We express concern for you, because we care. I am not lecturing, just hoping that being in the doldrums doesn't become the norm, and that you are able to see through the short term, the next month or so, to perhaps some freedom of choice by the end of March, including getting into your car and going to the next Village for whatever social interaction is going, because I know people are desperate to be allowed to do things even socially distanced, where we can socialise safely, just seeing people moving about their business if comforting.
I was at the shops by 7.30 am this morning and seeing familiar faces behind the masks and chatting briefly with those that I know, and catching up with their families as well.
I hope that you might even be able to meet people you know well, not just strangers, unless of course, those we know, are now strangers after so long a break. I do hope not.
