Faith Intact!
I woke very early. Finding myself not at all sleepy I turned on the radio. That was probably a mistake. I have listened to far too many people giving us advice on what to do in a pandemic! None of it made any sort of sense. I just groaned at most of it especially the religious ones. The only sentence I found any comfort in were the words "He is risen."
So my faith remains intact. There are moments of doubt I am afraid...it feels much too easy! Having got dressed and come downstairs I switched on the radio and there it was again...A hymn. It proclaims that Jesus has risen..... Alleluia! I really want it to be true. And suddenly it is.... with words written by my first priest...W H Vanstone. I take this as a wonderful reminder of my faith. Thank you God. So on we go! I have looked at my empty fridge now and remembered that Tesco will deliver tomorrow. I do have food , it just needs defrosting! So on I go...I think.... This will all pass....eventually!

Great that you have experienced once again the excitement of Easter, jut in time for Pentecost. I preached yesterday which was well received. Perhaps I still feel that excitement as it is still Easter until next Sunday.
I will also be preaching on Thursday for our mid week BCP service, I feel the privilege of preaching is giving me a constant need to engage more with scripture, with a particular attention on the Old Testament, which remains in some ways a distant experience from the Gospel stories which are all to familiar. So the Old testament will appear more in my future ramblings.
Prayers continue for your well being.
