Going Out!

This mornng I am going out! I have to go out for some essential stuff from St Mawes! Bread and milk are essentials ! I am told that we are very full. Our vistors are arriving here daily. Everyone assumes they are coming to Cornwall instead of going abroad. What ever the explanation is we are all aware that Cornwalls hotels are doing very well indeed! And its still only May! But by setting out before nine olclock I hope to get there before the crowds! The coffee I am drinking whilst I type lacks milk. It is not something I want to do again! I havnt succeeded in doing a Tesco shop for while...we are all in the same boat right now! Forunately there is only me to feed. What is interesting is how easily I can shop for alcohol! Lots of bottles are already sitting in my spare room. I must try not to drink too many of them! So off I go....providing my car starts! When did life get so complicated?

Good afternoon Jean. I hope you have had a fruitful trip out and about., and the town wasn’t too busy.
Hopefully you will feel more confident about heading out again.
Strange you’ve not been able to get a Tesco delivery. They aren’t difficult to book around here.
Take care

Martha you live somewhere civilised. I live a long way from anywhere even the next village is a good number of miles away. Tesco does come out but only if I think of it in time!

I have to admit that we don't use online shopping. While it would be easy to arrange, parking for the delivery people is difficult as most people are home these days and the roads are line with cars.

Much simpler to go once a week, as a singleton and get one weeks worth of essentials in one go. Even the supermarkets have now removed the requirements to wait for entry and the keep your distance markings and signs have vanished.

But they make announcements over the tannoy about keeping distance and being kind to each other.

Things like their Salad Bar and Cafe's are open, although you have to prebook if you plan to eat in the cafe.

To be honest, I prefer the arrangements to attend masked, to sanitize etc, it just makes sense to protect each other in that way.

But our Church Coffee morning it to reopen next week and we will hopefully be able to run a lunch club again soon.
