Blogged?

I thoght I had managed to get a post published earlier but now it looks unlikely . I have no idea why! I am fine mostly...just finding everything complicated when it used to be simple. I know that we all have to be checked from time to time but it has begun to be very silly. To be constantly asked to provide your name and identity is getting very tiresome. I suppose its my age thats against me....but do all us octogenarians have to suffer in this way? I realise that a much younger person could take over my blog but why anyone would want to beats me! The assumption that we are all up to no good unless constantly checked feels very bad at times. Anyway I have blogged this morning...it should be there somewhere but no garantees! Sorry!

Technology is very challenging & it’s changing constantly. If your blogging is causing you anxiety it’s understandable,..but passing it over to someone younger? Why would you need to bother. You could always keep in touch with your friends via e.mail which I think is a marvellous way of staying connected to people.

Oh dear Jean. It is very strange if you are being asked to prove your identity. A password is understandable but I never need more than that on most things.
I do hope you keep blogging as I know I’m not the only one who enjoys reading it 😊

I think that it is quite complicated. I use several different devices to access the internet from a laptop, a tablet and a mobile phone, depending what I am doing.

I have found that having something called an authenticator (Google and Microsoft) provide them which can run on each device which know when I am online on another device and when I use a second device will prompt me to check on that device for a message sent via bluetooth or text to the other device. Once you get used to it you can feel a little secure that it is only you trying to log on to your account.

Every few weeks I get asked to veryify my ID on the particular service, by responding by logging out and logging back in with my password. They also do a security checkup. I can understand that as you get a bit more mature it can all be a burden and confusing.

They say it is for our protection, but it seems to be testing how upset they can make older people using the internet.
