Doing my own thing!

Its another truly glorious day again. The sun is warm and people sre arriving all the time to enjoy it all. My ipad has started something new which I have not sanctioned but I am enjoying it . Every day I get up to an old blog post from years ago which it has chosen. Its amazing how much Ive forgotten about what happened daily ten years ago! Some of it is sad because David was alive then. But everything I blogged about brings back memories long laid dormant., Looking out at Falmouth this morning its very quiet over there...all the VIPs are still at breakfast on the north coast I suppose.. nothing at all to be seen as yet! Although it is Sunday we are still not having the big services in church we used to have...this pandemic has a lot to answer for! I will join in the radio service when it starts....I enjoy singing the hymns if nothing else! Remarkable really how quickly we have adjusted to the new circumstances but they are sensible. All those people could be carrying the virus in...so its better to be safe than sorry! Doing my own thing has become a way of life for the moment. Its fine! A pleasure some times!

Sometimes we find ourselves isolated and enjoy it. And I enjoy the quiet times when Jen is at work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I also take time on these occasions to pray thanks giving for her preservation and recovery following her stroke last July, we are fast approaching the anniversary of it on 6th July. Not an anniversary we will celebrate as I remember all to well her collapsing and her slurred speech and being unable to lift her.

Thankfully she is fully independent these days and apart from not being able to drive, she is nearly back to normal (or as well as can be expected) and keeps going, even when I tell her to rest. She just says, stop fussing.

I hope that you continue to enjoy the memories evoked by your ipad rotating through past blogs allowing you some comfort and the love of things past.
