Normal?
Today I need to go out to get a battery for my TV remote! I can only get the last channel I watched just now...a silly little thing but annoying when I cant get the program I want to see. So I was up before the gardener arrived this morning! I am hoping the Co op in St Mawes will sell them...otherwise its a much longer drive! Ridiculous how such a silly little thing can take over your life when your not watching! It is another lovely day out there...we have been very fortunate with a lot of sunshine most days. The TV weather man keeps telling us that its all going to come to an end soon! I just hope I can get through my trip out comfortably. There is no sound coming from the garden just now and I will not go out to see what he is doing...I just know he is not cutting the grass! It is remarkable how strange it all feels just when life was starting to feel normal! But normal will happen hopefully later today....with a little bit of luck! Fingers crossed!
Much later! My trip to St Mawes was scary....very very scary. Its full! I live on the road between St Mawes and St Just and I now remember why we made that choice. The town is choc a bloc. People and cars everywhere...I parked very hastily in my favourite spot which was full apart from a cheeky little corner! I failed in everything I set out to do. ...,made my way back to my car and drove home determined never ever to go there again in summer. I have never seen so many people! I hope they all have lovely holidays because the weather is perfect but I wont be going down there again until its winter!
And the new battery hasnt worked either! No idea why....I'll just have to get used to channel 5.

Good evening Jean.
Sounds like a frustrating day. I suppose it’s good that St Mawes is busy with holidaymakers but like all holiday destinations it’s not pleasant for the locals.
Hope you have managed to persuade your tv to offer up more channels ...
You can get batteries online quite easily without a trip to a busy place. I am sure you could add it to a normal internet shop if you want?
I know what you mean about busy, it was raining hard here yesterday and I popped to the supermarket to get some fresh food for dinner and found it, despite the rain, very busy. So, I just got some salad stuff and left. Used a self service till, not line waiting not socially distanced.
I got new batteries at the local shop...no problem. They must get asked fairly frequently ..
