Carrying on!

Yesterday I was lamenting the loss of the TV but last night I found I still had ITV. I could not get the BBC at all but it was good to find I do have access to the alternative! So last night I found things to watch and life started to feel normal again! I doubt if anything is going to be what I used to think of as normal but finding some programs I enjoy was a relief! Pathetic I know but the need to feel roughly familiar is still strong. This morning all four houses in this small settlement are occupied.....and this is unusual! It is good to have people here and we are cheerfully waving to each other during the day. Last night I found myself checking what was in my fridge and also how much alcohol I can lay my hands on! To be able to enjoy a drink as bed time approaches feels very reassuring. So life is different but still alright in this strange time we are living through. Apparently football is the main thing on the TV just now...but even that is welcome...if not actually enjoyable. Life is still a long way from normal but it will do! Hopefully!

Football is dominating TV and the news Media at the moment along with Wimbledon dominating BBC TV as well. Luckily we have a wide choice with Sky to watch, so no issue. And BBC3 shows a large archive of popular crime drama's of the past, giving comfort, particularly if not seen the first time around.

One thing I wouldn't like to live in Midsummer, where there appears to more murders than across the whole of the UK, all within minutes. And the performances by many famous guest actors playing character parts can be amusing. Seeing Olivia Colman in series probably 10 years old, as a younger actress playing a slightly deranged character, pointing towards her future Oscar successes.

While I don't watch much mainstream TV, watching oldies jogs the memory.
