Crowded!

Having written yesterday that it was very quiet here a good friend told me that everywhere else was buzzing! People on beaches, walking cliff paths etc ...apparently Cornwall is super busy...full of people who would normally be abroad! I am pleased for the people who will be able to live comfortably for the rest of the year ...but I am also glad that my small part of it is still gloriously quiet! I did see one post yesterday from someone proclaiming that Cornwall was definately as good as France or Italy..and that they would be here again next year. It is true that we have had a glorious run of good weather...the sun has shone most days and it is hot at times. But its not always like this. Just now it is truly glorious. Today the number of cars going past suggests that some people are getting off early..which is a good idea...I still remember those days before I lived here when the journey home took all day because of the sheer weight of traffic. I can hear that the number of cars out there is certainly bigger than normal...I just hope they all get home safely. Memories of getting the children back to school using crowded roads are coming back....those were the days...I do miss so many things from years ago...but the fact that I am here, settled in this glorious place cheers me daily! Thank you God! I have only just seen the devastation elsewhere...this is a cruel world...so I pray for those who have lost everything in Europe...dear God...help them please!
