Flooded!

I am up later than usual and now wish I had stayed in bed! Ive had a flood! It must have rained very heavily in the night judging by all the water in my kitchen! Most of it can be fairly easily driven out if I can find a mop! Oh dear...things over which I have no control are beginning to bug me. Driving the water back out is going to take time and strength I no longer posess. This is more water than Ive seen before...Ive got used to small amounts but this is different! I will do my best but I am afraid if it rains again I will have another flood to contend with! The kitchen is fine several steps bring it above the lower area by the back door which is currently under water! I will try to get rid of it but from past experience I am not hopeful! Sitting it out seems the best idea until I am sure I can manage it. OK....so be it...my cleaner comes tomorrow...hopefully together we can deal with it! Later I have managed to get rid of most of the water using the mop and bucket...I can only hope it doesnt rain again! Fingers very firmly crossed! It is already much better...so I will keep mopping on and off ...thankfully its not raining!
