Yesterday’s Match!

This may surprise you as much as it startles me! I watched the match last night! After years of taking my son to play in various matches it seemed a good idea to watch another one. And the end was shocking to me...Some tears fell I admit...I was amazed by how how emotional it all was! But thats because I remembered too well comforting my son when he felt he had let his team down. This morning listening to the radio as it is all being discussed I am glad I watched... some of the remarks have startled me ...Of course its emotioal ..they have spent years working up to this point and to lose must have been shocking for them all. When my son was upset after losing a match I mopped up tears frequently...I imagine an entire team shedding the odd tear..and why not? They have spent years preparing for this match and I am sorry they can not rejoice this morning. But I am sure they will regroup and come back stronger as happened with my boy. The determination to win next time will carry them through! Lets hope they make it!
