No milk!
My gardener has already arrived and I have run out of milk. I will have to offer him black coffee. The important thing though is that I do have enough cash to pay him. I gave up giving him cheques when I realised he never cashed them so I have tried to make sure I have the right cash every week. My first sip of black coffee this morning was not good. I was actually sick! So I am not sure I want to try it again! At some stage I will have to go into the village but the last time I tried it I found it so full it was impossible to park! I will try again soon but this morning I am happy to pay him as he needs it! I am considering the alternative to black coffee but everything in the cupboard wont do! Oh dear...so much bad news coming over the airwaves is not helping! The situation in Afghanistan is very depressing. I am praying that all those who need to get out will be able to do so. In all this bad news the small things seem to take on the ills of the world! I am finding it impossible to find any really good news anywhere! Listening to the BBC this morning is not helping! I have yet to hear my grass being cut...or indeed anything else out there so what ever my gardener is doing he is doing it very quietly! So yet again I pray...to keep us all safe please God!

Jean have you ever tried UHT Longlife milk.?
I have used it for more than 30 years and can buy it in any supermarket and store it in a cupboard until it is opened when it will need to be in your fridge.
I use skimmed but all the others are available and as it lasts for months you are never caught out.
Thank you for that…I’ll see if I can get it in the village shop…but I’m sure I could get it on line if not! That would be very useful!
Oh dear, no milk is not good news. I’m with Ray when he says have a ‘spare’ Longlife carton in the cupboard. I’ve also discover filtered milk which tastes just like fresh but keeps fresh for longer, which is very good when living alone and only really using milk for cereal! I get it in my supermarket shop.
Hope the day improves, and hope you are able to see some sun. Still cloudy in the east🙁
I prefer fresh milk, so I order fresh either green or blue top 1 pint
and always have at least two single pints in the freezer. Just take one out, let it thaw out, turn in upside down gently, once or twice
and it is as good as fresh from the shop.
