Quiet now!

I have been out and walked and there is a difference out there...it is very very quiet. ...yesterday the road was busy all day.... today no one is driving! It is a bank holiday weekend when normally cars would be nose to tail ... but today it is very very quiet. I can only assume thst very many people went home yesterday....either that or they are all still in bed! Some friends did go home yesterday I know so I am assuming that the roads must have been extremely well used! It seems a good time for others to arrive though ..... the sun still shines, it is lovely here now. Autumn was often the time when we came down here until the children started school. As I was then a teacher getting home in time to start the school year became very important. Sorting out new timetables took centre stage of all our lives! Leaving here was always sad but we knew we would be back! Now, living here I still think I am very lucky! No need for the very long drive back now. The summer is far from over just yet...its warm and pleasant out there. But quiet...thank goodness! I expect the next phase of visitors will start soon. Lots of older people will arrive to enjoy the Autumn..as will I. Thank goodness!
