The Worst!

Dire warnings came from every angle last night! Wind, rain, lightning...it was all going to happen here. So I went to bed after watching TV . Sleep came quickly and when I woke I looked at the clock to find it was quite late...so I got up. Having dressed quickly I went outside not knowing what to expect... It is all fine out there! What ever did happen last night it seems to have left us untouched! So far! I have looked at all the dire warnings this morning but they were all for last night. I seem to have escaped it! So far! I have friends here at the moment so I wait to hear if their caravan escaped the worst! I suppose it could all still happen..But just now the light breeze is fine! I am not going very far though..just in case...there are still warnings about bad weather locally. I remembered it was Sunday eventually by joining in a hymn on the radio! Its a strange life we are living now...I will listen to the radio again soon...just in case there is more news of impending disaster! But right now I am drinking my coffee flavoured with relief! The worst did not happen! But I suppose theres still time!
