Sunday service.

Sundays on board are much the same on every trip. The interdenominational service is very well attended...and this morning we were struggling to seat everyone.
The captain took it with some help from a retired commodore. It was unorthodox but fine...
So inevitably one in our midst then asked if I could give them communion.
Well.....I had no prayer book with me.
I managed to download the Anglican service onto my iPad...which in itself enters into the realms of mystical endeavour.
A quick assessment of the numbers involved filled me with some foreboding.
I went to look for my shirt and dog collar...just in case....the plastic bit had snapped in two.
By this time I was ready to forget the whole thing but Cunard have long memories.
I'm told I can take a Communion service this evening if they still want it...
Who knows?
I have a feeling this is a test....not least to keep me away from the double Scotch which has my name on it by early evening...
We shall see....it's not something I'm pushing...with any luck the mood may have changed after a day in the sun by the pool...
It's in Gods hands now not mine....so be it..... .

How does it work for PTO internationally? Let the lawyers work that out and celebrate anyway.
