Chiropodist calling!

Yesterday I was having a late morning...the news was riveting and I stayed in bed rather longer than usual.
Around nine I went down stairs thankfully dressed and ready for my coffee. Before drinking it I glanced at my diary...it said "chiropodist "
Just as I read it the door bell rang and there she was. Punctual as ever!
That'll teach me to look at my diary the night before in future!
It took me a long time to find a chiropodist. There is a definite lack of them in these parts. I had to go into Truro for the last one...
This one visits....a much better arrangement for ancient feet like mine...
All I really need her for is cosmetic....I just want my toe nails trimmed!
Getting down to that job has got harder as have my nails which have become steadily more rock like over the years.
As I am back from a cruise my toes were painted a delicate shade of pink...had I got varnish remover?
Well yes but heaven only knew where...
Nestling up to the nail varnish seemed an obvious place to look but no, it wasn't there.
All of this before I'd had my coffee or indeed anything else to start the day with...but she was there and ready to start work!
She managed to scrape off all the offending colour, chopped, and poked down with her usual grace....and lo....my nails are now rather pretty without being pink.
This is a great boon....I have arranged for her to come again before Christmas...and hopefully I'll be expecting her visit next time!
