I have a bank app on my iPad
It is easy to use....now Apple have introduced the fingertip as the way of navigating around I don't even have to remember my number.
I go into it every morning so that I know day by day exactly how much cash is available...so....
I have had a week of profligacy......
This is unusual these days....there's almost nothing I actually need.
David's question before any new purchase was "Do you need it? "
Now, with no one to ask any questions I find I am usually very good...but this week has gone against that trend.
New cashmere sweaters, socks, slippers, all wooly and warm stuff to see me through the coming winter.
I have resisted new jackets, waterproof gear and cosy slippers...but today's Bank check reveals my profligacy far too clearly. .
I am not going to spend anything else for a while....well unless it's something I really need!
Having no one at home to query my purchases is not good for me.
I fail to say "Do I really need it?" to myself often enough!
But if I did remember the question I would probably lie.....of course I do...winter is on the way!

Go home and think about it.
I'm as bad as you. With no one to curb my spending. But hey ho it's mine to spend. I do occasionally ask myself would I go to work to earn money for it? The answer s always a resounding no! So I don't ask that question often however with a little dog soon to be joining me the garden has to be made safe. So like you this month.....oh dear
