Having just ordered a Long Island iced tea I find myself thinking back to how and when this drink became an integral part of my cruise. David and I had flown the Atlantic. He had seen the advert in the Sunday Times and asked me what I thought after I’d taken two services one Sunday morning . I told him I’d love it and went fast asleep. When I woke up he was grinning. "I’ve booked it " he said obviously very happy. We flew the Atlantic and arrived in Boston very hot. We needed a drink. David ordered a pint for him but didn’t know what to order for me. The bar tender offered a Long Island Iced tea. I loved it. I’ve been drinking it ever since.
