The GDPR rules are working well for me. I no longer wake up to about fifty unwanted emails. I have ticked a couple of sites to allow them to send me stuff but for me it’s working well.
Full marks to Amazon who send me details every day based on previous choices. And they do make sense.
After being away for one of the Poldark series I sent for the boxed set which arrived very speedily and this morning they have sent me mail advertising the Poldark movie!
I had no idea that such a thing existed....but what a treat...by weekend it will have arrived!
I don’t miss the anonymous mail...I had got used to just deleting them unread every day but it’s better not to have to do that every morning.
Oddly the most persistent mailer is one of the firms that specialise in church goods, baptism cards, stoles, altar linen etc......I’m still getting their mails so maybe they have special dispensation from above...
It is becoming almost civilised ....not such a bunfight daily...
I am still being asked to allow selling stuff to get through but so far I’ve resisted temptation...
I am enjoying much quieter mornings...long may it continue!
