Open ID?

"Open ID is no longer protected by my blog run by Blogger. ...."
It tells me this every time I look at it but I’m not sure what it means!
It doesn’t seem to have made much difference to the blog but as it keeps telling me every time I log on I thought it was time to find out!
I publish most though not all comments posted to it but these all seem intact...
Anything posted by Anonymous has never been published...mostly I don’t even read them.
I do enjoy my daily jottings and travel between other blogs as I go...the chances are that I will simply go on posting them daily whilst I still have the strength in my fingers!
During this period of change both in my actual life and my virtual one I am assuming the stance of observer...
From my house high on a cliff I see everything going in and out of Falmouth...
My on line presence is starting to feel similar...I am dashing in and out of Twitter again after a long period of keeping clear..
Popping in and out of the Roseland villages has now started to feel similar.
Living on the only road going to St Mawes means that I get people popping in and this blog has started to feel much the same....but if anyone knows what "open ID" means in this context I would be grateful to be informed.....

As far as I know, they are encouraging people to use their real names on blogs etc. I find myself thrown out of this and other blogs, insisting that I log in again. But my ID is established on Google so this is just a nuisance factor.

I did receive a notification email saying that Open ID was preferred but I ignored it and so far, it has not had any consequences that I can see, apart from being logged out of some blogs, before I can post.

Being an observer seems quite appropriate. I was pleased yesterday, that my License was renewed for three years, not the 16 months that I expected as I will be 70 in that time. Not got a clue why they gave me three years, apart from perhaps they want their moneys worth from the costs of the training over the past four years?
