A time for unity?

How on earth has the Labour Party got itself into such a mess? As various people contribute their take on the situation I groan.
When as a girl I was active in the party at least two of my friends were Jewish.
One of these went on to become an MP. He isn’t now but there must be several people who still are.
I understand the horror felt at some of the violence we have witnessed during the last years as Jews defend their homes.
But that surely can’t amount to a wholesale condemnation of the race.
I have no way of knowing how this disquiet might have been expressed but I listen to those who have been hurt by apparently casual denigration.
No words now can make up for previous casual remarks which seem to have sparked this row.
I do not know how they can get out of this mess but I am in no doubt that at a time when Brexit is occupying all the energy of the Conservative Party it is nothing short of tragic that the Opposition Party is not actually opposing anything outside their own party...
How they can get out of this mess is something I am unsure of but there are other more important decisions to debate surely...
An opposition party should be opposing...not quarrelling amongst themselves...
Maybe a way could be found ...try chaps...that’s your job right now....
