Trying to keep all my bills paid has proved difficult this week. I have now paid for everything essential...I think....but I am all too aware that it’s got to be easier to do it from home than it would be when I’m sitting in the middle of the ocean miles from anywhere.
Well that was the theory behind my attempts to pay all the bills and those that will fall due whilst I’m away.
But I have had to speak to the bank a couple of times already.
And then I got a letter from the firm I insure my car with who tell me they aren’t going to do it any more unless I talk to them. So I rang them obviously...
It’s been a week of talking over the phone with various firms but the bottom line here seems to be my age.
The presumption is that as I’m a very old woman I must be confused...
And indeed sometimes I am but mostly by those who mess up my attempts to pay everything before I really need to.
I am today going to have a day off from trying to get all my ducks in a row financially.
There are lots of other things needing my attention.
I’ll try again next week with my fingers firmly crossed as I go!
