I am once again under siege this morning with two painters and my cleaner all due to arrive shortly. I have put the laundry basket on the chair lift already because I know I won’t be able to use it once they start.
Brewing up for them will be my task this morning...keeping everybody happy looks like a good idea!
Finding a warm place to sit out of everyone’s way will be the next thing....once the scaffolding is in place, getting up and down the stairs may prove complicated.
Listening to the early morning news as is my habit doesn’t help.
The amount of anger, or even just dissent in the world seems to be drowning out any good news.
Trump lecturing people on hating just makes it worse...
The pilot who turned his helicopter away from crowds of people was a brave man who saved lives by his action...thank heaven for people like him in this world of dissent .
But today is weirdly a budget day.......heaven only knows why.
People are hoping for good news....let’s hope we get some!
If I find myself stranded up stairs at budget time I may well tune in to listen to what the chancellor says. Otherwise the radio will suffice.
That apart this looks like a good day for keeping my head down.
And avoiding another long beach walk when my friend inevitably suggests it.
I shall need all my strength this week.
