Exhaustion!

I am getting very tired now after a week of getting up early to greet the decorator when he arrives at eight o’clock.
The answer of course is to go to bed early but my old friends are also here so making my excuses has become something of a test....especially if they are expecting to be invited in for a late drink....
So I am developing an excuse culture.... trying to keep everyone happy...
The blue hall is looking very handsome now and today the gloss paint goes on the doors...I am astonished by how many doors open from my hall....it’s not something I’ve ever thought about before.
I now seriously wish that the hall was the only thing to be painted but he’s still got the stairs and landing to go....I could have chaos in the house for another two weeks at least!
The glorious weather is keeping Cornwall full ....this week of half term has seen car parks full and beaches busy...
We are told that it’s going to get cold soon....but with my front door open all day it’s already quite chilly in the house.
It’s just bad luck that the week of decorating has coincided with half term when all my old friends are here...
It will all be worth it in the end and I have the satisfaction of knowing that I will never have the hall painted again...once has been enough!
