Outer wear!

Today I am sorting out my coats. A hanger which held several collapsed yesterday in my hall. The coats are presently over a chair in what was my husbands office...
They are in good company...there are far more than I’m ever going to wear again....
So today is the day. In theory....
There are black coats worn for winter burials , not all clerical...
There are bright red coats, two in fact worn for festive occasions and carol singing...
Two leather jackets, camel hair coats, raincoats, duffle coats for dog walking are no longer needed but I am reluctant to part with them .....and that’s my problem...
When I lived in Essex the cold east wind made a warm winter coat essential during the dark winter months...
Several shorter coats were kept for riding my bike...not something I do anymore.
Ok....you are getting the picture.....I have far too many coats!
I will make a collection to present to  a local group....who will hopefully get the benefit during the winter...but the rest are going into various wardrobes around the house...leaving a bare wall in the hall...
All of this is going to involve a lot of movement up and down the stairs..so the stair lift will be invaluable .....
It is going to take a morning to disperse the heap of coats presently draped over various desks and chairs..
And then the trick will be to find them when I next need them..
Arghhhhhh!
