Brexit....arghhhh!

My first reaction yesterday to the possibility of a general election looming was that I needed a postal vote...
But if an election was called whilst I was out of the country I couldn’t use it anyway.
I feel sorry for Mrs May but more sorry for this country.
The very word "Brexit" brings doom laden angst to me and I suspect many of us now.
I have no way of knowing of the truth or otherwise of all the dire predictions issued every day.
But I see Mrs May, apparently determined to see it all through but losing the support of her ministers daily.
That she is a woman of principle and determination is clear.
Snapping at her heels are the younger men nursing their own ambitions whilst she tries to hold firm.
I’m not sure about the official opposition just now... the Labour Party can simply sit tight whilst the the Tories shoot each other’s feet.
It is all very sad.
Not the sort of Democratic government we were used to before Brexit took centre stage.
All sorts of side issues are cropping up, not least the situation on the railways right now which has nothing to do with Brexit but is adding to the angst.
The privatisation of the networks has brought chaos which brings back memories of the time when my husband got to work in the city by train and the times when he slept in the office to be sure he would be there the next day during a previous dispute.
The decision to privatise the whole system has brought chaos and whole families are suffering because of it.
The opposition parties don’t seem to be doing a good job of either opposing or putting forward sensible plans to move us all forward.
It is clearly Brexit which has brought us to this point...having another vote will not settle it one way or another because everyone who didn’t get their own way will be shouting "foul" in very loud voices.
If there is a way through this mess I hope it can appear soon...we need a period of peace...right now.
