Well....last night watching the TV, the news came through...the government had been defeated on their reluctance to publish their intentions on our exit from the the EU.
I stopped watching the film to go looking for news programs which were covering this astonishing news.
This morning I am still not much wiser.
The number of people who quote the Norway option as a possibility for us are legion.
So my mind travelled back to the last time I was in Norway.
We were moored in a beautiful fiord.
Glory was all around us .
I took a coach to be transported around some wonderful sights. Newly dug long tunnels took us around all the glory that is Norway.
High in a national park I joined a queue for some coffee and was stunned when my euros were refused...I had assumed an entirely wrong situation.
But not only was Norway not in the EU it became obvious that they were delighted not to be in it. A fellow traveller paid for my coffee...and the conversation revolved around the rights and wrongs of belonging to the EU.
So now my mind is now revisiting what was said then.
Norway was a joy to visit. New tunnels drove through mountains, the fiords were glorious and there was clearly no shortage of the money needed for the great bridges and tunnels we found where ever we went.
Not being members of the EU clearly worked for them.
Whether it could work for us is different and I have no way of knowing what the right move should be for us now. I voted to remain....so I am biased.
The next days are going to be riveting...
