A visit from the past!

I got a great surprise yesterday. I had been contacted by a young lady who used to come to my children’s services a few years ago. She is getting married this year and I assumed that that was what she wanted to talk about.
I was wrong. She, her mother and her fiancé arrived on time to announce that they were taking me out for lunch!
And they did.
The pub in the village was already amazingly busy but they squeezed us in
and the four of us ordered our food and then ate whilst we talked.
It was a really amazing conversation.
She worked in London and had done several   jobs already.
When I asked her how she had managed to get so many very interesting jobs she just smiled.
"I volunteered for them"
This had worked for her. She was both very beautiful and highly intelligent. The combination was extraordinary in one so young.
They returned me home with promises to keep in touch .
It was both surprising and enjoyable. They were all good company and I enjoyed the whole thing.
We have exchanged mobile phone numbers and promised to keep in touch...but I’m really not sure why this extraordinary young woman would want to bother.
I obviously did something right several years ago...but I’m not sure what!
