Brexit.....again !

Words are starting to fail me on brexit.
We have had years to sort out what is going to happen....we are just down to days.
Now in the final days there is chaos.
Yet again Mrs May will fly to Brussels to sort it all out. Jeremy Corbyn is going too. Are they going to share an aeroplane?
It would be an interesting conversation.
But all the facts now suggest that Mrs May is fast losing the plot by blaming everyone else for the present situation.
She has been in charge now for years....how can we have arrived at this stage where nothing has been settled.
Except we are leaving Europe.
The details are not yet fixed....with just days to go.
Announcing that the leaving date could be moved to next week, month, or year is not going to sort it out.
We are in a mess. No hiding that. We still don’t know what the future holds for us.
But what is shocking is the fact that no decisions have been made with only days to go before we are alone.
Mrs May has valiantly striven to carry the thing through on her own but she has failed to get the support of her fellow MPs .
Brexit paralysis has us in its grasp ....
She is still telling everyone that she is confident of getting the votes required for a good Brexit...
Her bossy manner of dealing with people is working against her...the Europeans don’t take unpalatable facts being forced upon them.
When she took her present job Mrs May I think saw herself leading us through the mess with glory.
The actuality is far from this. We are in a mess. I have little confidence that it can be fixed easily. But how have we got to the stage where only days are left?
If we get an extension I have little hope that it can be fixed.
No one can say it’s dull!

I must admit that on writing this morning I had no idea that the goalposts had been tampered with. I obviously slept through it all!
Our Prime minister sees herself as the saviour of the hour. I think she may be alone in this. I’m sorry to have missed yesterday’s speech....but I expect I’ll hear it repeated ad nausuem over the next week.

Coming late to the conversation.

We need to get rid of this hopeless government and PM.

Perhaps than we might get a brexit deal that preserves the relationship with Europe that is meaningful, unlike the various parliamentary votes so far. Which have been a showcase for chaos, selfish self interest and posturing for position.

And a general election to remove the ERG gang and Boris and Gove who have been prime movers, jockeying for position while the country descends into division and recrimination, and extremists seizing the opportunity to join to create further division.
