Gales. Metaphorical and real.

All plans seem fated to fail this morning.
I have an old friend due to visit me. She is older than me and I don’t think she’d get from her car, through my gate and into the house safely.
Persuading her to stay at home till the wind has dropped is my first job.
Going out to start my car though is necessary after a weekend of not going anywhere.
Watching the developments in Parliament is essential listening .
I will not be going far from a radio today.
Our prime ministers need to hop onto a plane in times of maximum angst is making for interesting politics. But only time will tell if we really have been saved...from a Brexit disaster.
I suppose it depends which side we are currently sitting on.
The vote on the European dilemma is currently being explained by Mr Gove....who is not held in very high esteem since his ambition to become Prime Minister was revealed to the world.
He is breathlessly explaining the detail which Mrs May chased across Europe to sort out last night.
The whole thing is taking on the shape of a dogs breakfast...
The rain battering on my windows sits well with the excited voice trying to explain a new agreement.
The vote tonight is going to be interesting.....

Having watching gallons of water being hurled at my windows I think it unlikely that I shall be going anywhere. I will also put off any visitors...
Time to sit about a bit!
