Election aftermath!

Is anyone happy with the present state of politics in this country? If you are a brexiter you would not be happy with the lack of progress towards achieving your aim.
None of the parties seem to command much enthusiasm for anything.
In government we have a party with a leader no one wants....Mrs May seems to want to just hang on till the very last minute...
The opposition is not actually inspiring either...
Most of all this uneasiness concerns our relationship with Europe...and the prime movers in this area are obviously more inspired by personal ambition than what’s good for the country.
The list of MPs is not inspiring. Boris, Gove and the rest are quite simply seen as people of personal ambition.
In the middle of all of this, personal ambition is always going to be despised.
This weeks elections show both parties suffering with just the odd electoral surprise.
It’s a mess. No arguments there...
In the middle of all this the smaller parties should have been able to take advantage of the mess the others are in. But that does not seem to have happened.
I listen to politicians trying to justify their failures and none of it rings true.
We are in a mess. Brexit has caused a massive sense of bewilderment. We just don’t know what is coming over the horizon.
Even advocating a general election isn’t a solution....look what happened in the last one!
All the voices listing their dissatisfaction are growing louder...politicians are not trusted...no one seems happy with the present state of affairs whilst being unable to find a convincing path through it all.
Outside is a hazy fog....very symbolic. I suspect we are finding our way through it all complicated and worrying. We need the mist to lift.....soon.

I haven't had time to think about Brexit or politics this week. My spouse is poorly in hospital, so have spent most time with her. Even neglecting the things, I normally do, including a funeral.

So, now, waiting to go to visit her a little later, have seen the rhetoric on show from all sorts of directions. The biggest winners (so far) appear to be the Green Paty and independents candidates (over 200 so far).

The parties deserve what they are receiving. Their confusion and total neglect of the peoples view is impossible to ignore. We need to kick them out and start with a blank sheet in a new Parliament with the sole aim of passing the legislation and than getting on with running the country.

But they are not even capable of organizing the proverbial P up in a Brewery, let alone Brexit.

There will be an accounting at the Ballot box, which is only starting. The EU elections in a couple of weeks will demonstrate how people feel.
