Going through my email list every morning is getting surreal. Many of them assume I’m an American for some reason and those include such wonderful things as invitations to train as a plumber or an apprentice in something or other. Slimming aids also have crossed the pond as have several Astrology blurbs with the wonderful title ."Jean I can save your life."
Promises to make me a lot of money , reproaches for not answering various missives include stuff like "Jean , we called. You didn’t answer."
My first job every morning is to get rid of lots of daft emails. I know I’ve posted on this before and lots of good advice was offered which I clearly didn’t follow.
But I suppose the truth is that I quite enjoy some of these daft emails whilst wondering how on earth I got onto these dafter lists.
The ones that are the real puzzles are the ones that assume I’m young, American and looking for jobs or huge sums of money.
Getting rid of them take seconds most mornings so they aren’t really a problem...just a puzzle. How did I get on to these lists?
The bitcoin ads have dropped off lately but wealth is still the main promise of these weird missives...
Wealth, love, jobs they are all on offer most days . They used to be an irritation but now I just press the delete button as I go down the list. They are mostly American but the British ones promise me all sorts of joys ranging from wealth to wonderful holidays.
I really don’t mind them most days...I just wonder how I get onto all these firms lists....
As an insight into how the worlds commerce proceeds they are always interesting even whilst irritating. At least it shows that I’m still alive! But how would they know if I wasn’t?

Just mark them as spam and your email progam should filter them out, next time they are received. You can just empty your spam box on a weekly basis or have them deleted automatically daily, weekly or monthly.
They are a nusiance and clutter up your inbox and waste your time, not matter how amusing they might be, they are attempting to steal from you.
I too get spam emails, but they go straight into the spam box and I just empty it daily. I can't be bothered with offers of money, advice, fortune tellings or even worse, dates.
Like the spam phone calls, which I find more annoying, they are sent a speculative fishing expeditions. All they have to do is to con one person and their work for the day is done. And they send out thousands daily, and the law of odds is that they will take in at least one or two people on the way.
