Back to normal!

Yesterday I duly went to the dentist.   I now have a lot of plastic in my mouth until I go back next week to have the new tooth fitted. My old dentist waited for me to have it all done and brought me safely home afterwards for which I’m very grateful. The colour of the new tooth currently in place is a fetching pale blue...  Next week I go back to have this replaced by one of the right colour but it’s going to be an interesting weekend!   It has been a very expensive endeavour to replace  lost teeth ..but I suppose I can live with that if it means that I don’t frighten people by smiling at them!

My friends are all going home this weekend...and I have to admit some relief in this. It has been a very busy month and I now look forward to some quiet time . I am getting old!   Today I shall stay quietly at home....no rushing out to lunch or anywhere else! A whole day in my own home and garden is needed right now.   Any visitors would be welcome providing they don’t faint at the sight of my blue tooth!

No more talking about Brexit, teeth, Boris, dentists etc.  I must at very least go out to start my car!   I’ve been transported everywhere for weeks...but I must now become properly mobile again. This is no bad thing....I find it very easy to accept lifts everywhere. But I do value my self sufficiency. I’ve been much too well looked after during this  month!

So from the sanctuary of my garden I will wave goodbye to all the passing traffic...August is almost over....time to get back to normal again what ever my normal turns out to be.

Having a blue tooth is a novelty. When they did my crown the temporary one was vaguely white and didn't match my teeth. The permanent one, which lasted 16 years was clearly better.

The one I have now, replacing that permanent one is also vaguely white and I can actually take it out by unscrewing it if I want to give my gums a good clean. It feels natural and I don't take it out often.

I don't chew gum and avoid biting on hard items with it, just as breaking it would as you describe prove quite expensive.

Having a mouth full of plastic can be inconvenient but I'm sure that you won't frighten your gardener etc, but perhaps avoiding giving young children a smile, just in case.

Good job you don't have a black cat..... you never know what rumours would start...
