Printing !

The sun shines, it feels warm outside....I have been out very briefly already to greet my gardener....so this might be the day to go back to my printer.   With all the messing about the last time I tried to use it the one thing I didn’t get done was to print out the stuff I need for my next cruise. It seemed simpler to push it all to the back of my mind...and there it still is.

All I have to do is print off a couple of pages....but this week this has become a major problem.  Hopefully only in my mind. There are several simple ways of avoiding this but somehow my head has become stubborn on this topic.  I want to be able to do  what I’ve always done...but I don’t need another day of angst!

I also need to provide my gardener with a cup of tea, a sticky bun and some money. So I shouldn’t really start  messing about with my printer after what happened last time.

And yet.....my stubborn streak is refusing to just give up.   At some stage in the future I will have to try to print stuff  if it’s prepared to play...or buy a new one if it’s not  so putting it all off is daft!   I just don’t want to have another day like the last one.

Also the fact that I’ll have a strong bloke around if I need help lifting anything that needs to be moved, is part of the decision.   Oh dear!   I am turning into the sort of helpless old woman I’ve always despised...so maybe it wouldn’t be sensible to tempt fate by trying to print again.

I will wait to see how things are going...I am becoming an ace at putting things off.    So that’s a sort of decision!   Do nothing...until I’ve seen how the day goes....  bah! Humbug.

Having just realised that’s Friday 13th. It seems sensible to do nothing....no point in tempting fate!

I hope that you took the time to print as well as looking after the gardener.

Technology always seems determined to beat us, but we need to bend it to our will or it will beat us. If it were me, I'd send the documents to someone you trust who has a guaranteed working printer with a request to print for me.

In my case to church, where our photocopier is also our printer and works flawlessly and our administrator has an admirable way of kicking it into action if its proves recalcitrant.
