Another day , another sun filled tropical resort...and I admit to getting bored. I will not go ashore again, being perfectly happy strolling around the deck . This is not Cunards fault...it is more a sign of my age. I have done all of this in a previous life...and the need to go out and face the world has left me.
I think yesterday’s blog did get published...eventually so I’m having another go today...the signal on this ship is very weak but when everyone else is dashing to get ashore it might be ok again.
The good news on this cruise is the table for eight I sit on for my evening meal It is really friendly. We are a mixed group but we all get on! Apparently fellow passengers have complained that we are too noisy but this is only when we laugh...and we do a lot of that!
The talented young guitar player who has given two concerts already sits with us as does several more youthful singles and they are keeping us older ones happy.
I like the ship when most of the fellow passengers are ashore..it’s very quiet and peaceful and since my brush with skin cancer a couple of years ago I can’t manage full sun anymore.
So here I stay, perfectly content...our of the sun. watching Trump troubles on the TV and mentally admitting that my cruising days may well be coming to an end. Ok!
