Isolation! Again!
Oh dear. Who ever could have seen all this? Several planned meetings over the weekend never happened. We are all opting to stay at home...not to go out looking for food, drink or company. But this is our own decision and some anger is being fuelled by the arrival of the second home owners who clearly see this as a holiday they hadn’t expected. I spoke to several people on the phone yesterday whilst deciding how to best live during this period. I am in self imposed isolation. So anyone knocking at my door is going to be unlucky. I did not enjoy telling my cleaner not to arrive this morning...but I will still pay her. If I live long enough! Clearly as an old woman my needs should not deprive the younger generation of theirs.
Listening to the radio this morning it is even more depressing ....how many of us survive the next weeks is unknown but speaking to my loved ones is something I will do on the phone this week. I can do this...but if I die in the attempt it really doesn’t matter at my age...Eighty odd years of living comfortably can give way to what ever lies ahead...over to you God.

Stay strong Jean.
Stay safe.
Stay well.
Remember, it's not your time to go yet.
We are self isolating due to both being vulnerable. Jen's boss has told her not to come in and it won't affect her pay for the moment. In reality, she is seriously considering retirement, this whole thing has brought it to a head.
I'm going out for essentials, we have four cats who need specialist food. I can get it from the vet or more likely one of the big stores like Pets at Home which do bulk stuff.
We tried from Amazon, they have it, but it can't be delivered for three weeks, which is no good for us.
Many people are in self isolation grounded by the governments direction to stay in for up to four months, which is all well and good, but who has enough to do that?
Prayers for all in the situation of being locked down, with no end in sight, and for those suffering from the virus at home or in hospital and for the staff caring for them.
