Food delivery!

Well my bad back is still with me but I have slept well and am hoping for a better day today. Quite wonderfully I have a Tesco delivery . Strange how commonplace events have become so vitally important to us all. But I have to admit that having enough food in the house has become a huge joy. This situation looks set to go on for much longer than I thought at the beginning. A phone call to an old friend yesterday reveals that his visit to Cornwall may not happen at all this year...we shall see. I haven’t driven to the boatyard yet but I am told that all the boats that would normally be in the water by this time are still on the beach! It’s all very odd. I do need to go into the village at some stage mostly to get my usual tablets from the pharmacy. So far I’ve been taking half of my usual pills.....let’s face it I’m not doing much to put my blood pressure up just now. Self isolation is very soothing...nothing to trouble or excite me... it’s quite tranquil here most of the time...but this morning is different...getting food and drink delivered used to be commonplace.....now it’s essential. People in the village have been wonderful...very helpful but of course it’s not just one village...I often go back to the one just a little farther away, back to where I used to live... but for today I shall be home, waiting for my delivery...thank you God.

Sounds like you are all organised for the moment. Having the necessary items delivered is a convenience, but having to stay in for it, not knowing exactly when they arrive.

We had a delivery this morning, which was scheduled for last Friday, but the excuse given that there was difficulties in our area, didn't wash as it was perfectly peaceful and no accidents or incidents. I complained that the were not giving us the real picture, perhaps they didn't have enough delivery drivers and the tracking app, showed the item to be in the Dartford Depot.

In the end, we have had it, so I will stop moaning or worrying that it has been delivered to the wrong address.

It is a small, electric saw, given the nature of it, you might think that it is a "boys toy", but it is for my spouse who wants to do some carpentry stuff, but is unable to wield a traditional saw due to pain in her wrists.

Prayers continue for you.
