Carrying on!

Waking very early yet again I have had time to check various things, not least that my Sainsbury’s food is actually going to arrive this morning..I have no reason to doubt it apart from the fact that nothing feels normal just now. So sitting up in bed blogging is fast becoming normal. The sun shines...it looks lovely outside and the huge cruiser, the World is still in position across the water moored up in Falmouth. We have heard over the weekend that one of the crew has died on board which has started people wondering what he died of. Needless to say people over there are slightly anxious....just in case. What a strange world we are living in. I have never checked my grocery order before but I do have a fairly empty fridge right now...it’s just a sign of this worrying period. As well as expecting my grocery order this morning I am also expecting my cleaner to arrive but as I haven’t seen her for over a month I’m not confident on this. One good thing about it all is that I now know that I don’t really need a cleaner living on my own without a husband or dog...but it’s nice to have a chat on Mondsy morning anyway. The entire world seems changed and slightly weird...especially being wide awake before seven o’clock and writing a blog. I am sure that eventually we’ll all get back to normal but right now the sun shines, the road outside is quiet and the radio by the bed is keeping me up to date with what’s happening everywhere else. I am sorry if this blog is getting a bit boring....but it is a reflection of this locked down world we are living in. I don’t really need too much excitement right now....a delivery of grocery will be fine...... and I am offering a couple of prayers for the rest of the crew in the World...as well as the rest of us.

I am an early riser "up with the larks! in probably a good description. My alarm is set for 5.15 am. A left over from my working life, when I would getup, and go for a run, before showering and travelling to work.

Nowadays, 10 years after retirement, I can't break the habit, but as I am in bed for 10 pm most evenings, I get enough sleep.

Glad you are sleeping well, and getting deliveries and perhaps some human, face to face contact today.
