Surviving!

I am sleeping well but waking up very early. Once my mind has covered all the small problems that have presented themselves there is no possibility of going back to sleep. Looking out of the window I see the wind blown trees waving at me. I don’t wave back. Being alone for days on end has produced some odd results. A quick look at my inbox reveals some very odd choices. I have clearly been shopping. Some very odd biscuits are going to arrive today...I can’t remember anything about them or why I ordered them but the picture shows a very odd selection of brightly coloured shapes...no doubt I will enjoy eating them but there is a danger here...I could end up several pounds heavier by the end of this weird period. It feels much colder this morning but last week I turned the heating off...so I can only look out of the window to try to gage the day. The sun shines but the tops of the trees are moving... Last weekend Cornwall had a lot of visitors, all intent on enjoying themselves regardless of any attempts at rationing. Some of the local beaches have been full of people...but mostly grown ups not children.. I am not tempted to join in...staying quietly at home on my own is still the best idea just now. And anyway I am expecting some weird deliveries...but most of what I find in my emails seem edible or drinkable... I seem to be amassing quite a lot of alcohol.IM NOT SURE HOW OR WHY...but everything will be welcome obviously. I chatted to my gardener yesterday without my mask on...he just grinned..but I do have a couple of interesting masks....just in case someone arrives at my door....with or without food or drink. I don’t know how long this present situation will continue. However I do seem to be surviving...sort of. and I’m trying not to get involved with a couple of blokes met on line. Thst way lies danger...but to chat to other human beings is tempting....oh dear!

You are quite right to avoid human contact, particularly as the media seems to be saying that that dreaded "R" number is blancing upwards in the South West and North West.

I don't really understand the science behind it, but below 1 is apparently good and above 1 decidedly dodgy.

If you can't remember ordering things, perhaps it's time to write it down as you place the order, at least you won't be surprised when it arrives, unless they substitute something strange for what you expected.

I do think this blog is more fiction than fact
