Visiting?

The sun still shines and today I am going out! Out! After a very quiet birthday yesterday I have been invited to visit a friend in the next village. I’m not sure if this is permitted these days but at the moment I am going. This weird period we are living through is bringing some odd moments....someone I talk to on line suggests that for real social intercourse we need not just masks but also gloves! Gloves? Oh dear my mind is busy boggling...I have been on my own for so long that I might just be going gaga. I do not think I am but have to admit that it could be a possibility. Driving to the tea party will take me past several postboxes so before I set off I will make sure that I’ve remembered actual letters that need to go...... shopping on line means I don’t have to call into the excellent shop in the village but I might just look through a few windows...and this I admit is quite exciting....who ever would have thought it! Exercising my wallet is an interesting thought...I have only bought things on line for weeks...so am I ready for a person to person transaction? I suppose there is a chance that we will all emerge from lockdown different people...and at the moment I’m not sure if that’s good or not.So off I go for my shower...to wash my hair and to try to look more human than I feel. Going visiting has never felt so exciting ...or daunting.... oh dear!
