More shopping!

Well....I should have realised that anything I ordered from Marks and Spencer would be ...big, sumptuous even. But I was staggered when the basket of fruit arrived yesterday. I haven’t been eating as much fruit as I should so when I saw that M and S did one I sent for it! Gosh! Every bowl in the house is full. It is in perfect condition and it will take at least a month to eat! If not two. I keep forgetting there’s only me...but I’ve shopped for children and husbands in my previous life and I tend to forget.....anyway the fruit has been unpacked and I will have some for supper tonight.....it will last at least a month so I must start on the
stuff that will go off. I tell myself that I need to be healthy! So eating fruit is part of that! Ahem! I’ve also ordered several M and S meals...but it’ll be the end of the month before they arrive! As I am expecting a couple of old friends soon I now think I can feed them....and anyone else that turns up by the looks of it. This period of isolation is proving very interesting...with no sign of my being miserable. It’s good to explore new ways of doing things and if I’d known I could shop at Marks without going into Truro I would have done it sooner...and I won’t stop when we go back to normal. Before I came to live here I lived in Essex where I rode my bike through a pretty park to come up at the back of Marks and Spencer. I loved their food and still do but now I have an excuse now for being lazy! Happy Days!

You can of course freeze some varieties of fruit, particularly berries, apples etc. So, eking out should not be a problem. I am going out a bit later to a local bathroom shop, as my spouse will need access to a disability friendly bath and shower when she comes home following her stroke. I will take the opportunity to pop into a green grocer who display their fruit outside as in the old days. Fresh fruit, particularly Oranges is good to have and I will also get some cash from a cash point at the post office to actually pay cash for it.
