New world.

Oh dear.....given the fact that I’ve had weeks of self imposed lockdown today is looking hectic. I’ve just waved at my gardener as he passed the kitchen window. Another old friend says she’s popping in today...no time specified and my car spent the night in the garage whilst their car sits on my drive. Confused? Me too! Hopefullly my own car will arrive back today and I will have far less money as a consequence. The car from the garage still lurks on my drive but with no key in it it’s useless clearly. If by this time you are confused, join the club so am I. Thankfully after being peacefully alone for weeks I’m looking forward to rejoining the humam race even if it’s only temporary...because just at the moment I see no sign of lockdown ending...apart from small gestures like letting the pubs open. Schools opening yes...the damage done to children’s education must be massive. This is the strangest period we have ever lived through I think...the war years were better because the enemy was in full sight...we knew we were fighting the Germans. Now we are fighting a tiny, invisible foe ready to kill or maim anyone who gets too close. Indeed it’s survival depends on it. Even if we get a vaccine eventually I fear this particular threat will be with us for some time so we had best get used to it..so far it’s winning. Stopping it must be the first aim...learning to live with it is harder..Prayers needed?
