I’m afraid I’m going to get boring....so I apologise n advance....the problem is that nothing much is happening here just now. I only talk to my cleaner and gardener during the week. The rest of the time it’s just me...not even a dog or a cat to look after...so I am reliant on news garnered from the internet....Apart from posting this blog on Twitter every morning I don’t really chat on it but the time is coming when I will. To communicate is vital to me...I spoke to my cleaner yesterday but my gardener doesn’t arrive until the end of the week...I can’t talk on the phone too much obviously so finding new ways of communication is essential. Playing games has become essential now. Backgammon with real people every day helps keep my brain moving...I do jig saws most days too on my iPad...and this works almost as well as handling the actual cardboard ones. Some daft games still get my attention at times....but mostly it’s the card games I played when I was young that prove most interesting. Cribbage has provided me with several newer people to play with...it’s game I used to play a lot with a real person some time ago and there are still people around who would welcome a game or two until self isolation became necessary. So finding games to play online has become essential to daily activity. It is pathetic I am aware but it’s better than being bored. Oddly I’m not reading as much as I used to...I have hundreds of books around the house several full book cases invite me daily...but using my lap top or my iPad is just easier.
Walking the garden gets me moving most days...and my house is big enough to walk round to give me several interesting views. I don’t often use the electric stair lift I put in for David but it does take anything bulky or heavy. Life is still good....quieter than I would ever have believed but definitely good. I’m not sure if I’ll still be saying that during the winter when it arrives...but that’s still months away and who knows what might happen before then.

I do some walking. To the corner shop for a paper and any essentials for the day, and up and down the garden and the alley ways along the terraces of our 3 up and 3 down houses.
At the moment, this has eased off as I care for Jen, but once she is mobilied a bit more, she might join in with me.
I have plenty of chat, because we are having therapists in and out each day for physio, speech therapy and occupational therapy. Never been so busy indoors for years. Off course, they all come covered in PPE (for our protection) but hearing a masked figure speak with Jen's poor hearing is an issue. But we get by with repetition when needed.
