Carrying on.
Well, nothing went well yesterday. The friend who has been a great help over the last week got a puncture . Impossible to drive anywhere he did get the tyre changed eventually. As he goes home soon it now seems unlikely that I will see him in the interim. This is OK...I can do being alone. I have had alot of practice.... This morning listening to what is planned by our leaders I am gripped again by the wish that our Prime Minister was anyone but Boris. In all the shots of him lately the sight of Domenic Cummings sitting close by is worrying...Just who is in charge of making all the lockdown decisions ? I know I have said this before but I really wish that our PM was anyone but the joint version we now see before us. The restrictions imposed by them are causing resentment and I assume that some of this is a general resentment of Boris who is no longer the darling dafty he once was. The north south divide is unhelpful. I can understand the deep groans coming from up north...indeed I share many of them. The one thing that has become obvious is that this virus isnt going away soon. Many of us will die, that has become clear. So we just have to get on with it. Us pensioners are not as badly hit financially as those still working. But I have my fingers crossed whilst saying that. Lord hear our prayer.

Good morning Jean, how disappointing that your friend couldn’t visit yesterday. Hope you can keep in contact via phone or other means until you can meet again in person.
‘Anyone but Boris’ sounds like the mantra of many of us. The continued interference of Dominic Cummings is disgraceful- and extremely concerning.
I do wish the opposition would force the government to be honest about their errors and that they would actually listen to the scientists they claim to be following.
And you are correct, the North -South divide is real and I’d suggest extremely worrying on a number of levels.
Keep safe
