Monday morning!
Several things are happening this morning...First its the day my cleaner turns up. Sometimes! Then my friend has plans to join in a walk through the village.. This seems unlikely on a Monday morning so I can only wait and see. It is still dark outside. I am awake very early! None of the news sounds good. We are being urged to get our usual flu jabs but last year I sat waiting in a crowded waiting room where we all coughed in unison. It remains to be seen if I go this year! Because my friend has been doing all the driving I am aware that I need to start my car. I need to know that I can get to both the village and the doctors at some stage. Right now snuggling back down into my warm bed feels like the best idea.. Self isolation is working for me most of the time...the friend who has been staying in the next village for the last week goes home up country in a couple of days...and then I really shall be self isolating again. I know I can do this...I have become used to being on my own most of the time. But lets just get today over with...ahem!

Good morning Jean, I hope you manage to get a walk around the village later, and that your cleaner comes. Don’t worry about the logistics of getting your flu jab, the surgery will have it well planned. I had mine this weekend and it was very well organised so there was no hanging around in a waiting room. Maybe call your surgery and find out what you need to do. It’s very important to get one this year.
The situation with the virus is at a critical point, let’s hope the government can convey a good clear message and that people adhere to the rules.
Take care.
We always get an appointment with our local pharmacist: straight in and out, albeit through the shop to the treatment room. We're always careful not to book e.g.market day when the shop gets crowded.
You still get it free if you normally would from the surgery.
Also now looking at the pneumonia jab...
Hope you get it sorted.
We have a similar system here which works for the doctor as well as the patient. I live a long way from any shops so I try to go down to the village if I can.
