Shivering!
Well I have to say that I have clearly gone soft. Living without my central heating is horrible. Ive got used to everything being warm and comfortable once the lovely heating is switched on. Going to bed last night was strange...I piled extra clothes on before snuggling into a thick duvet. And I slept well but getting up this morning was different. I did manage a shower ..the hot water was lovely! I am now wearing several layers of wool..and am back to the sofa in my office with a blanket round my legs. Ive become soft! I just hope the new boiler arrives tomorrow as planned! This is the year I have departed from my trips abroad...Christmas in the Caribbean last year was very different from this! However its only the beginning of December...still time to get the Xmas spirit up and working ...hopefully....I have tried to join in one of the church services on the radio but I am afraid my heart isnt in it just now! So today...its time to do something useful. The first cards have already arrived here..so I will start writing mine today...it ŵill be something useful to do whilst I shiver!

Good morning Jean. You poor thing 🙁
I do hope the heating gets fixed tomorrow.
Card writing seems like a good thing to do - if you can do it and not freeze!
Praying for the safe arrival and efficient installation of the promised new boiler. You really need it!
We know how you feel. When our old boiler broke down last year, we went for a month in the middle of January till the middle of February without central heating or hot water.
Fortunately we had a gas fire in our main living room and several electric heaters in our dining room and bedroom, so it was bearable close to them, but the general coldness, particularly in the bathroom permeated everywhere throughout the house. And ours is obviously much smaller terraced.
Have you thought of sending electronic cards? Shared by email they can be a economic and friendly to the environment. We've sent a few real cars this year, but the remainder who we have an email address for will receive ones via the internet at a tiny cost compared to the cost of paper cards and supporting a Christian Charity through it.
Hope all fixed, and that soon.
Providential you weren't away when it happened and could take rapid action. God speed the plumber!
