Cheers!

OK...I know its Saturday today so some progress has been made. In theory. Its darkish outdide so I am not tempted to go too far. I have unpacked a box that arrived yesterday. It made me laugh. I had forgotten that I had ordered it all. In response to an advert last week I ordered some Scotch. Its my favourite tipple and it looked like a good idea. Six bottles arrived yesterday! So Im not going to run out in a hurry! At my present rate of imbibing it should last till summer! So its unpacked and put safely away in a cupboad which was once my husbands. He would have been pleased to find it all in his study. i have kept everything in there just as he left it with photographs of boats on every wall. One boat takes centre stage. It was one of the little ships that rescued the troops at Dunkirk. On one of the photos there is a picture of my old boy raising a glass with the Duke of Edinborough on one of the return trips. So packing the booze in his room would have been a good idea even if it wouldnt have lasted long. Cheers chaps!

Good morning Jean.
What an interesting photo you describe!
Snow here today and I am going to venture out with the dog shortly. Then home for homemade soup!!
Hope you have a good day. Cheers 🥂

Interesting that you are keeping David's study just as he would like it. Familiar things are a comfort and storing your beverages in the cupboard seems a sensible way of keeping it safe. Putting a padlock on it might be a good idea to ration your daily tipple.

I suspect that my daily vice of one cup of coffee is similar. To much makes me jittery, so for the rest of the time I drink tap water.

Its strange what makes us happy, but comfort from memories is something we could all draw on in these strange times.

I was wondering if you are going to be vaccinate soon? You are in the priority age group, and we have been vaccinated and we are both younger than you?

I suspect that remoteness might be an issue for you in Cornwall, but surely your GP will have you in mind to be called?
